No shoes

How many in our closet..... Me? TOO MANY!

2nd day!!!#

We visited one of the villages today! We pulled teeth right outside this classroom of 1st graders!!
They had a Blast looking at what we were doing and the stuff we gave
them.
I can only say that I consider it a privilege to serve these people, they teach me soo much.
I love this work... It is frustrating because we take so many things for granted.

Today, I feel thankful.

Untreated cancer#

We had 3 patients with cancer today, heart breaking!!!! No other doctors would touch her!!!

Beautiful girl with congenital defects..
I will try to get a post op after surgery!#

First Day#

We began working today, our trip yesterday was long and hard. My boys were Incredible!!! Thank God!!!
First days are usually consults and scheduling surgeries, we weren't expecting dental patients but had plenty. Worked with plastic surgery and will do some cases this week with them that require some dental work.
Lots of sad stuff will post more pics later....what a reminder of how much we have and how little we need.#

Who has some good advice to share

HOW....HOW...HOW....do women work, have a family and keep their sanity. Even if women don't work, so much to do and think about. Blows my mind that some of you even home school!!! HOW!
Okay, any good advice on how to keep it together and actually be able to get ANYTHING done?

As I am preparing to go to the mission trip in Valladolid, I am trying to keep it together...make sure everything is ok in my office, that all questions are answered and everyone has projects to complete while I am gone.
Packing for 2 kids, a husband and medical and dental supplies to see 500 patients or more..I have to admit that I thrive on being busy and having things to do...but, I am a bit overwhelmed.

I am soo excited about the mission trip I wish I could take every single person I know, once you do it...you are hooked for life and it changes you in so many ways.

Soo...please stay tuned, I will share as much as I can as we go...

Mommies

I got done early today after taking care of 2 kiddos that needed emergency care, I love what I do and I am so glad that I am able to help children in some small way. So, it was a good start of the day for me...the rest of my day was even better because I got to spend it with my 3 boys.

Today, as I was out and about with my boys, I watched several women interact with their children,
it always amazes me to see the love and tenderness a woman exudes. There is no greater love than God's love but I truly believe that the love of a mother comes second. No offense to dads...but, when I am sad, sick, dissapointed. I WANT MY MOM, don't you?

So, pat yourself in the back once in a while mom for that unwavering love you give to your children, the unselfish sacrifices you are willing to make and the tenderness that you exude when no one is watching (or when you think no one is watching). Because it not only makes your children's day but, someone elses day, like mine.
